Drawing Development and Children - can I use your child's drawing to promote an open call for art?

Post by kate_museumofmuseums »

Hi Larry,

My name is Kate, I work at a contemporary art museum in Seattle called Museum of Museums (museumofmuseums.com). I am the coordinator of our children's art program called the Emergence Room. We put out themed open calls for art regularly, and this time our theme is Draw Your Dream Home!

I need a promo image for this open call and I came across the drawing of a house by your child. I am writing you to ask for permission to use this drawing to promote our open call.

Thanks for your consideration!

Hi Kate,

Thanks for reaching out.

The child is now a teenager and is very happy for you to use their drawing, which they'd completely forgotten about. I'm guessing you mean this one.

The image I had uploaded was a little small, so I upscaled it. (You may need to scale it back down for your purposes.)

Cheers
