What is predator urine and how is it used?

Post by patrickjohn30 »

Predator urine is a natural scent collected from carnivorous animals—such as coyotes, foxes, or bobcats—used to deter unwanted wildlife. Its strong odor signals danger, triggering an instinctive fear response in prey animals like rabbits, deer, or rodents. Gardeners, farmers, and homeowners often apply it around gardens, perimeters, or entry points to prevent damage without using traps or chemicals. While effective, it must be reapplied regularly, especially after rain, because scent strength fades over time. Some animals may also adapt, so rotating different predator scents can improve long-term success.
