What is an I/O device error?

Post by datarecovee »

An I/O device error (Input/Output error) happens when your computer does not write to or read an I/O device (HD, SSD, writer drive, etc.). Usual causes are bad connections, corrupted drivers, or damaged disks. Errors such as "The request could not be performed" I/O errors reflect on the problems occurring in communication between the device and OS.
